Outstanding Staff Attorney Award

The TAACA Outstanding Staff Attorney Award was established in 2019 to recognize the service of one TAACA member for contributions to their court, profession, and community. Any member may nominate any member, including oneself, for this award by submitting this nomination form by August 1st. To be eligible to receive the award, the nominee must be registered for the Annual Meeting at which the award will be given. 

 

Incomplete nomination forms or those that exceed the word count as to the Reasons for Nomination will not be considered. Multiple nominations for the same member may be accepted; but only one, which will be chosen by the nominee, will be considered.

 

Officers of TAACA are not eligible to be nominated for two calendar years after their last date of service as an officer. This restriction does not apply to members who were officers before this award was created.

 

The recipient of the award will be the nominee who receives the highest average rank from among the TAACA officers. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken by a majority vote of the Executive Committee, and if a majority cannot be reached, the tie will be broken by the President.
